Greg has over 30 years’ experience on major infrastructure projects including Power Stations, Tunnels, Process Plants, LNG Plants, Mines, Desalination Plants, Bridges, Rail, Roads, Telecommunications and Dams as either Project Controls Manager or Planning Manager. Although Greg G has had corporate roles (Group Planning Manager – Barclay Mowlem, Manager of Planning & Controls – Tenix Alliance, Commercial Manager – Concrete Constructions and Commercial Manager – Tenix Alliance) he finds project work more challenging and fulfilling. The corporate experience brings understanding of corporate considerations when solving project challenges.
The projects have varied in location from around Australia, Canada, Africa, South America, Kazakhstan and Middle East. This wide experience brings with it the different ways the same challenges are met in different parts as there is usually more than one way to overcome a challenge.
Greg is an outcome focussed person who develops and mentors his team to successfully deliver challenging projects with broad experience in large multi-discipline process and infrastructure projects in Australia, Canada, South America, Kazakhstan and UAE. The contract delivery types utilised have been Alliance, Lump Sum, Build Own Operate, Turnkey, Design & Construct, EPCM, Schedule of Rates.
More recently Greg G’s experience has been in assisting in recovering projects in distress, leading teams in delivering projects from feasibility stage through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up phases by introducing a proactive inclusive management style which promotes accountability within the team.
